Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battle Front 1 & 2, Oh what great games for the Play station 2. I still remember playing countless hours of battle front 2; I never played the first one though. I was always playing the instant action battles as opposed to doing the campaign mode. My favorite things to do were to play on hoth and fly around, or steal an enemy AT-AT since I would always play as the rebels. Other then that I absolutely loved the space battles; at one point I got so good I was unstoppable during a space chase.

The Campaign mode basically you verse the enemy trying to take over the universe and all the planets in it. This was settled by having a battle every time your planet was attack, and if you won you kept/claimed the planet and if you lost you lose/didn't conquer the planet.

Then there was the instant action battles which allowed you to choose where you wanted to battle and what part of the saga. I for one would always fight on hoth because i loved taking down the AT-AT's. there was also a world where it was full jedi vs sith battles which got rid of having to unlock the jedi or sith lord during battle. This battle would be full of force powers and it was quite the experience.

In the summer of 09 it was announced by IGN that the company that was making star wars battlefront 3 has gone bankrupt and dropped the project, according to Wikipedia another company has picked up the project and is continuing it.

Luckily for now we have got Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squad to play for the psp, which plays like the first two star wars battlefront games which is a great edition to the series.

Dragon Ball Z

Alot of people grew up with the show Dragon Ball and its follower Dragon Ball Z.
We loved this show and when games for the PlayStation 2 were coming out we went crazy. Dragon Ball Z Budokai was pretty damn fun, fighting your way through the sayain saga and the fFreiza saga and the cell saga, playing as all your favorite hero's and re-living fights. It sure was great. then Dragon Ball ZBudokai 2 came out which had all the same stuff but also had the Majin Buu saga, We forgave it for repeating the beginning but it only made sense for it to have it. Next up came Budokai 3 which had super sayain 4 Goku and Omega Shenron, once again we had to fight from the beginning of the series which after doing it twice got boring. Then the Tenkaichi games came with the 3D fighting,It felt like a brand new game even tho we were just fighting the same characters again. after that i just stoped paying attention to the games because i knew that its just going to be the same old thing over and over with a couple of new characters thrown in.

Once again a new dragon ball z game is coming out, infinite world, this actually looks pretty good and is going to have 70 playable characters from what i heard.

It definitely looks like a game worth playing and I'm looking forward to it. What i do expect from future games is maybe one will start with the dragon ball series and work its way up to GT? Well just have to wait and see.

Assassins Creed

In November of 2007 a lot of gamers were busy playing Assassins Creed. Everyone was talking about how awesome it was, running around cities; jumping from platform to platform. Everything about this game was great. The first time you climb up a view point tower, you look out and you've got the entire city beneath your feet, you feel on top of the world, like you've done something completely awesome.

Remember the first time you did a leap of faith? How awesome it was to see your character plunging to the ground from hundreds of feet in the air, the camera zooms in, and then you have your nice soft landing in a pile of hay.

The missions made sense and were fun, run around gather information on someone, save a civilian, interrogate information out of someone, pick pocket someone, or ease drop on someones conversation to see what your target is up to.

All of this was fun for a little while, then the repetitiveness kicked in, only 4 different types of missions, having to do the same thing in in each town over and over. Most of the game was just going out gather information then go kill your target, sometimes it was simple and boring, but some targets ran, which made it fun to have to chase them through town on roof tops. But even then the controls are bland, on screen everything looks awesome, scaling buildings, jumping from object to object, but all your doing is holding the a button pushing forward and hitting the action button. It gets kind of boring if you ask me. But having too much buttons to press can be a bit complicated and may scare some people away. At least the story was somewhat interesting and had its twists, which is what had me constantly playing the game until the end. oh how the end teased you, which brings us to know there is going to be an Assassins Creed 2. Even though we definitely now know there will be one.

In this game you play as another ancestor. It takes place during the renaissance and you take part yet again in shaping the history of the world. As you can tell from the trailer this assassin named Ezio has all of his fingers unlike altair, which could mean that Ezio wasnt originally planning on being an assassin, until the death of his father like the trailer points out. Unlike Altiair ; Ezio has 2 hidden blades, I guess killing your target with one blade wasnt enough. But the graphics look stunning, the plotline sounds interesting,Were just going to have to wait and see on November 17, 2009.

turned 18 today and modern warefare 2

Hello everyone, as some of you may know today is my 18th birthday. Yay for me, to bad its raining out, but hey at least i get cake.

So the leaked footage starts you off in the airport as a terrorist, your goal is to maul down every civilian there whose trying to run or just not quite dead yet. Basically its an Airport Terror Simulator.
I'm kinda wondering if this game is gonna last very long because what government would want that kind of game in their country, sorry this probably means you Australia seeing as how left 4 dead 2 was banned. I also cant wait to see the media blow this completely out of the water saying you are forced to kill innocent people. At no point does it force you to shoot, at no point are you even forced to play the game; so hey if you don't want to do it then don't play the game. They probably wont even go into actual details like the fact that your an undercover CIA operative disguised as a terrorist. But i still see this getting banned in Australia, Germany and New Zeland. Because apparently killing people in a video game is bad. Hopefully its not ReCalled in America and changed like fallout 3 and the morphine being changed to Med-X. And don't even get me started with GTA, if you can steal a car from a little old lady and think its priceless, but then think its wrong to kill civilians in a shooting game, well that just wouldn't make much sense now would it? Like I said before you don't have to kill anyone, I'm sure your AI partners would be more then happy to do it for you. But like any other game I for one am looking foward to playing this game.

well thats about it for now, sure hope nothing gets changed its fine how it is, world just needs to stop being so sensitive about video games.
